We are in the part of the world where infertility is only channeled down to a particular gender ( women ). Several names have been used to identify individuals in this situation; barren amongst others.
Unfortunately, individuals have limited this condition to a particular gender.
Infertility is a condition that occurs amongst both genders. Let’s take a look at infertility amongst “men”.
Azoospermia is a condition when there is no sperm to ejaculate. It can be caused by hormonal problems, blockage in reproductive tract, ejaculation problems amongst others. Sadly, this condition leads to INFERTILITY.
Let’s take a quick look at the causes of this condition:
– Injury to this area
– Previous surgery in this area
– Absence of testicles
– Diabetes, kidney failure
– Radiation treatment
Fortunately, this condition can be prevented. There’s no way to prevent a genetic problem but if it’s non- genetic, the following can help to prevent it.
– Avoid activities that can lead to injury to the reproductive organ.
– Avoid medications that can harm production of sperm. Do not use medications that aren’t prescribed by the Doctor.
– Avoid exposure of the organ to hot temperature.
– Avoid exposure to radiation.
This condition can therefore be treated. Surgeries can be used to unblock or connect abnormal tubes. Hormonal treatment can also be done.
No man should ignore this condition. It’s important for all. Infertility doesn’t only pertain to women alone. If certain problems have been encountered as regards sperm production, it’s ideal to see a doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment.
