Truthfully it’s a sad experience a few of us might have gone through.

The mighty are not just big leaders of the physical church. If you are born again and working for God, you are a leading Christian

This is not a question as there is no question mark. It’s a saying gotten from the Bible in

2 Samuel 1:25
[25]How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! O Jonathan, thou wast slain in thine high places.

The fallen are the mighty, those in high places. The devil doesn’t have business with anyone who hasn’t found Christ. He is more concerned with the ones who are great tools in God’s hand.

Oh yes! You have seen leaders of churches fall short of God’s grace and you probably are quick to judge. As much as we are to blame the devil, leaders are responsible for whatever happens to them.

The consciousness that you are leader should make you conscious of devil’s strategies. Truth is, he doesn’t go extra mile to make leaders fall, he only uses the enemy within.

Here are some ways ;

-Self confidence

Truth is,the temptation to be confident about your Christian walk comes strongly when you begin to receive revelations, miracles start to happen through you and manifestation of God’s promises for your ministry is evident. Sometimes, you feel too sure to go for a ministration even without preparing, don’t confuse that with the boldness of the Holy Spirit. That’s where the devil starts.

Lack of spiritual head or friend.

A leader without a leader opens way for the enemy. There will be challenges, somethings that will shake your faith but thankfully the presence of a spiritual head guides our thoughts when you are a able to run to them either physically or just by listening to their messages. With or without challenges, a leader should have a covering.

Lack of personal time with God.

When you keep hearing God for others and not yourself, you give the enemy chance to do his work. Do you go to God, spending hours , fasting and praying only to receive for the congregation? Your spiritual life also needs his fuel. God might be working through you especially when you are gifted with the spirit of knowledge, your words hit the people except you.

Lack of discipline

This should be your song at every step. What a nominal Christian can do and go scot free might not apply to you. There should be rules and principles guiding you. This should be your understanding”Do not give room for excesses. Little foxes spoil the vine”

1 Corinthians 6:12
[12]All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

Also in 1 Corinthians 10:23.

To remain strong. Do the opposite of the few listed. Guard your heart always with the word of God.

It’s a slow fade when you give yourself away, people never crumble in a day.

A song writer said : I’ve come too far to look back again. Have you?

If you have fallen, there’s room for repentance.

Remain blessed and fervent
