Hehehehe, I have been confronted with statement few times by my friend.
Why? Not in the real sense, so I’ll add that he actually said it in a sarcastic way.
I am not been proud to be someone that goes to church a lot but yes that’s what this is about. Whenever we talk, I always tell him ‘ I’m going to church o’
Him; Church always abi, this heaven don’t you think it will be boring alone for you? I will be enjoying life in hell(sarcastically) because we will be many there.
Him; Don’t you know that God will ask you where you put me if you enter heaven alone? You will see me and not invite me, until I complain bah?
Him; Ehen, you will go to hell o if you feel you are the only one that wants to go heaven and not preach to me sef.
Hmmn, though most were sarcastically said, I pondered on them all and drew lessons I want to share.
That friend with you, are you too familiar with him or her that preaching has become vague. You even say ‘that one ke, only God can save him o’ but you have never shared with him the gospel.
Just because he or she doesn’t say it out, doesn’t cancel that they have a yearning in them that wants what you have. They respect you but they still want to be spoken to.
Your familiarity shouldn’t cause God to require his or her blood from you.
I deduced from such too that, you could have been known to be on fire for God, going to church and people just tag you ‘a good christian’ . Are you really in the private? Will they be shocked on the final day to see you not partaking in the rapture? Man might testify but does God count you among his?
If people know you to be a good christian, never allow it to make you proud or feel you have arrived? Always let it be a caution sigh that even as the Heavenly Father is watching, men are watching you not to disappoint who you serve.
Speak to that friend today, He needs Jesus more than you know.
